The nursery and 3 week countdown
We have finished Will's nursery. We feel like he is coming home to such a great place thanks to our family and friends. We can't wait to have him with us and we can't wait to hold him. Please continue to pray for us as the time draws near. Specifically, please pray for a healthy delivery and baby. Also, please pray that the Doctor, mid-wife, and nurses are all wise and helpful. We will share pictures of Will as soon as he arrives.
Thank you so much for sharing in our joy over these past 8 1/2 months!

Braves game

Anyone who knows us well, knows that Geremy and I both love sports. We really love all sports and depending on which season it is, we will try to participate as a fan in some way. We had tried to go a Braves game earlier this year, but it was rained out. When you go to a rained out game, the Braves give you free tickets to a future game. So yesterday, we spent the afternoon at Turner Field cheering on the Braves as they beat the Phillies in the 9th inning. It was a very fun game. We went to the game with our friends Brad and Renee. Here are a few pics of us enjoying the game. It was a very hot day, but God blessed us with seats in the shade the entire game. It was a very fun day!
Family Time...
One of our last big showers was hosted by my sister Sarah. It was such a great shower. We invited a lot of family to this one and had so much fun together. I was spending time with God the morning of my shower and had written a prayer of thanks that I want to share with you. "Lord thank you for a family that loves me like you do. Their love for me blows my mind. They forgive me and seem to see the best in me. What a blessing." As I think about having Will and loving my own child, I am constantly in awe of how much God loves me and how much my parents love me. It definitely excites me to think about these things. The shower was a true celebration of what God has done in Geremy and I's life by answering our prayers and giving us a child. My sister was such a great hostess and had everything decorated so well. The highlight of the gifts we received was a sailboat quilt that my Granny (my Mom's Mom) made for Will. The sails on the sailboat were made out of my Papa's (my Mom's Dad) old flannel shirts. I could recognize so many of them. Thankfully, I still have my Papa and Granny around and they will meet Will soon, but to know that Will will have a piece of them after they are gone, meant so much. I can't say enough of how thankful I am for my entire family, both Dad and Mom.
Who knew work could be this much fun
One of the biggest surprises of our pregnancy has been how supportive my work has been. They have been astounding. That is not to say that I didn't think it was possible, but it wasn't something I had put much thought to. The partner I work for has been as excited as anyone it seems like through the process. All my co-workers check on me, ask questions and seem to be genuinely excited about meeting Will one day. A few weeks ago, they hosted me a shower at work and we had around 40 plus people in attendance. Geremy was able to attend this shower with me since it was a combination of the women and men that I work with. We felt so loved. Because it was such a large group pooling money together for baby gifts, we were able to receive our biggest registry items. We received our car seat/stroller travel system and our video monitor. We also received other items that are more than we can mention here. I have included a picture of the women that I work closest with from work. The group I work with has 80+ individuals, but this is just the team that I work closest with. I really enjoy what I do and love working with these fantastic women!
Baby Showers and more baby showers
This post will be the first to cover several baby showers we have had. They have each been a blessing and a joy. We feel that Will already has more than he will need for coming into this world. We truly feel blessed. Here are pictures from our 2nd official shower. Our first was hosted as a surprise from our small group. This shower was hosted by one of my best friends, Sarah Lanier. Sarah did a beautiful job hosting and the shower was gorgeous. We received lots of fun gifts like bibs, a bundle me, burp clothes, gift cards and diapers. It was so much fun!
